FESTIVAL BALTICA DU JEUDI 4 AU DIMANCHE 7 JUILLET 2013
Le festival Baltica a lieu dans l’un des trois pays baltes à tour de rôle (en Estonie en 2013). Ce festival propose des concerts, des rencontres et des ateliers. Son but : la promotion du folklore et de l'identité culturelle des pays baltes, ces pays où le chant a servi de vecteur de revendications identitaires. Rappelons que les chants et danses baltes sont inscrits au patrimoine immatériel de l'Unesco.
"Every bird has his tune" était le thème fédérateur de ce festival des pays baltes (Lithuanie, Lettonie, Estonie) invitant des cultures du monde : Slovénie, Italie, Russie, Bretagne.

The ‘International Folklore Festival Baltica’ will again be hosted by Estonia. This is the ninth time that the event has been held in Estonia and this year Tartu has the honour of holding the opening ceremonies. The aim of this cultural festival is to make sure that local,  time-honoured traditions live on and introduce, or reintroduce them in some cases, to the people. Various cultural experiences will be enjoyed through the implements of dance, song, art, handicrafts and storytelling.
